Patellofemoral pain syndrome(PFPS)

One of the common knee pain is caused by patellofemoral joint being over-stressed.

PFPS is defined as painful knee condition which is caused by cartilaginous change in between patella and femoral condyle.

Most of patients suffer from walking downstairs or squatting.

To be able to diagnose it correctly, MRI is required.

It’s more prone to women due to bigger pelvic than men.

Wall slide with ball squeeze or hook lying knee extension with ball squeeze exercise is recommended to strengthen VMO (vastus medialis oblique) and also hip strengthening exercise will reduce the pain in the knees.
